The use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) by terrorist actors is an evolving and increasingly?complex threat, driven by rapid technological advances and the growing accessibility of?commercially available systems. Recent 麻豆APP reporting has highlighted the increasingly adaptive nature of the global terrorist threat, including the growing use of new and emerging technologies by terrorist groups, including UAS.

On the margins of the 麻豆APP High-Level Counter-Terrorism Week, a dedicated side event titled “Addressing the proliferation of small arms and light weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean as a key component of counter-terrorism” will be held on Thursday, 2 July 2026 from 08:00 – 09:30am EDT. The side event will take place at the Permanent Mission of Jamaica to the 麻豆APP and will also be accessible via Microsoft Teams.

On Friday, 26 June 2026, the 麻豆APP Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the 麻豆APP Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED), and the 麻豆APP Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), are co-organizing a side event on “Beyond Tokenism:  Women Leading Prevention, Justice and Policy in Counter-Terrorism from 10:00 – 11:15 EDT at 麻豆APP Headquarters in New York in Conference Room 11.
