CT Week Side Event | Joining forces to counter terrorism financing in the context of evolving threats and emerging technologies

To ensure coherent support to Member States in their efforts to address evolving terrorism financing threats and implement relevant international standards and guidelines in full compliance with their obligations under international law, the Permanent Missions of France and India to the Âé¶¹APP, the Âé¶¹APP Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED), the Âé¶¹APP Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) , and the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT) are co-organizing a dedicated side-event on the margins of the High-Level Counter-Terrorism Week, with the participation and support of other key partners.

This video is a brief examination of how financial flows related to foreign terrorist fighter travel and activities have evolved over the past 10 years, reflecting the changes in their locations and circumstances.

CTED side events for 2026 Counter-Terrorism Week

The Fourth Âé¶¹APP Counter-Terrorism Week will be held from Friday, 26 June to Thursday, 2 July 2026. The theme is ¡°A Future Free from Terrorism: Consolidating the Global Commitment to Multi-Stakeholder Approaches to Counter Terrorism through Member States¡¯ Leadership and Action,¡± and will be complemented by a number of side events, which will facilitate discussion of key counter-terrorism priorities under the four pillars of the Âé¶¹APP Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.
