On the margins of the Âé¶¹APP High-Level Counter-Terrorism Week, a dedicated side event titled ¡°Addressing the proliferation of small arms and light weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean as a key component of counter-terrorism¡± will be held on Thursday, 2 July 2026 from 08:00 ¨C 09:30am EDT. The side event will take place at the Permanent Mission of Jamaica to the Âé¶¹APP and will also be accessible via Microsoft Teams.

Recent Âé¶¹APP reporting has highlighted the increasingly adaptive nature of the global terrorist threat, including the growing use of new and emerging technologies by terrorist groups, including UAS.
