SUBMISSIONS TO THE CLCS

At its fifty-seventh session, "the Commission decided that it would proceed on the basis of two queues, one for original submissions and the other for revised submissions. In this approach, under the current working method of having nine active subcommissions, a maximum of three revised submissions would be under active consideration at any one time. The Commission also decided that revised submissions would be considered in the order in which they were received pursuant to rule 51, paragraph 4 ter, of the Rules of Procedure" (para. 72 CLCS/57/2).

Following this decision, Submissions are listed in two separate tables below, comprising submissions and revised submissions, made after recommendations were approved (see article 8 of annex II to the Â鶹APP Convention on the Law of the Sea) respectively. The designations employed in the table, including description of the areas covered by the submissions, reflect the designations provided by submitting States. The publication of this table and the information and documents contained therein does not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of the Secretariat of the Â鶹APP concerning the legal status of any country, territory, city or area or of its authorities, or concerning the delimitation of its frontiers or boundaries.
