PGA FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME 2026
Overview
The President of the General Assembly Fellowship Programme was established ?to support the next generation of diplomats by providing them with a deeper understanding of the work of the Â鶹APP and its multilateral processes
The Fellowship brings to New York a small group of junior diplomats selected from Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
Fellows will gain direct experience in the Office of the President of the General Assembly across all its teams. Moreover, they will be provided with training opportunities led by UN officials covering topics such as sustainable development, climate change, peace and conflict resolution, and human rights, as well as public diplomacy.
Since its inception during the 76th session, the Fellowship Programme has been made possible by generous contributions to the Trust Fund in support of the Office of the President of the General Assembly from the following Member States: Australia, Brunei, China, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malta, Portugal, Qatar, Slovakia, Switzerland, T¨¹rkiye, Zimbabwe, and the European Union.
