The President of the General Assembly of the Â鶹APP, H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, and the President of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), H.E. Mr. Lok Bahadur Thapa, held their sixth regular meeting on 14 May 2026, as mandated under the resolution on the revitalization of the work of the General Assembly A/RES/77/335 and A/RES/79/327.

They exchanged views on the upcoming joint meetings, including the joint special thematic meeting to provide inputs to the midterm review of Doha Programme of Action for Least Developed Countries.

The two Presidents also discussed the implementation of the Pact for the Future, the UN80 initiative and the General Assembly¡¯s review of arrangements under resolutions 75/290 A and 75/290 B and their annexes on ECOSOC and the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
