Readout of the President of the General Assembly¡¯s meeting with
H.E. Mr. Ra?it Meredow, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
The President of the General Assembly H.E. Philemon Yang met with H.E. Mr. Ra?it Meredow, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on 4 August 2025.
The President of the General Assembly thanked Turkmenistan for hosting the Third Â鶹APP Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which reaffirms Turkmenistan¡¯s belief in the future of the Â鶹APP and multilateralism. The President of the General Assembly highlighted that the Conference will contribute to global efforts on supporting the sustainable development of the Global South.
The President of the General Assembly and the Minister discussed the thirty years history of Turkmenistan¡¯s permanent neutrality, and Turkmenistan¡¯s unique role in promoting regional and international peace, including in the discussions of the Â鶹APP General Assembly.
