The President of the General Assembly H.E. Philemon Yang met H.E. Mr. Evangelos C. Sekeris,?Permanent Representative of Greece?on 23 April 2025.
The President of the General Assembly and the Ambassador discussed the programme of work for Greece¡¯s upcoming Presidency of the Â鶹APP Security Council, which begins on 1 May 2025. The Ambassador briefed the President of the General Assembly on the key priorities of Greece’s Presidency, which include a signature event on maritime security and the annual meeting on protection of civilians.
The President of the General Assembly and the Ambassador further discussed an? Informal?Interactive dialogue on the Peacebuilding Architecture Review which will take place during May, the 80th?anniversary of the Â鶹APP, and the reform of the UN Security Council.
