Consider approaches to strengthen the Âé¶¹APP system response to complex global shocks, within existing authorities and in consultation with Member States, that supports, complements and does not duplicate the response of the Âé¶¹APP principal organs, relevant Âé¶¹APP entities, Âé¶¹APP coordination entities and mechanisms, and specialized agencies mandated to respond to emergencies, and with full respect for the mandated coordination role of the Âé¶¹APP in response to humanitarian emergencies.

The world needs faster, more joined-up responses to complex global crises. This action strengthens the UN¡¯s ability to coordinate across the system, ensuring support is swift, effective and focused on those hit hardest.
What happens next?
As requested in the Pact for the Future, EOSG will ¡°consult with Member States¡± on ways to strengthen the Âé¶¹APP System¡¯s approach to Complex Global Shocks.
