High-Level Investment Forum at the Dushanbe Water Process
Monday, 25 May 2026 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
Mobilizing Private Investment and Innovative Financing for Water Infrastructure in Landlocked Developing Countries
The APoA includes a key deliverable on exploring the feasibility of establishing an Infrastructure Investment and Finance Facility for LLDCs (IIFF). The Secretary-General has been requested to elaborate on its feasibility and modalities. The IIFF is envisaged as a catalytic instrument to support project preparation, strengthen investment pipelines, facilitate partnerships with multilateral and regional development banks, and mobilize private capital.
A high-level investment forum within the Dushanbe Water Process provides an opportunity to generate concrete, policy-relevant inputs into the design and operationalization of such a facility, anchored in the specific needs of water-related infrastructure in LLDCs.
