On 24 April, the entire Library Building at 42nd Street and 1st Avenue will temporarily close for asbestos removal as part of an ongoing maintenance plan.
During this time, there will be no physical access to the UN Dag Hammarskj?ld Library, including the print collection and Reading Rooms.
The Library will temporarily suspend on-demand scanning, in-person trainings, and the lending and return of print library materials.
Books are on extended loan until the building reopens in July.
While the building is closed, many of the Library¡¯s virtual services remain available:
