Nearly 34 million people ¨C or some two-thirds of the population ¨C now need humanitarian assistance, making this the world¡¯s largest humanitarian crisis. It is also the largest displacement crisis. Food security conditions are catastrophic. The health system is close to collapse.

Thirteen more lives ¨C including children ¨C were reportedly lost on Tuesday in another drone attack on Sudan¡¯s North Kordofan region. UN Spokesperson St¨¦phane Dujarric said the latest fatalities come amid escalating violence, especially across the Kordofans, which continues to put civilians at ¡°extreme risk¡± and drives displacement.
