Non-state entities ¡ª businesses, financial institutions, cities and regions ¡ª play a critical role in getting the world to net-zero emissions by 2050.
The report by the High-Level Expert Group on the Net-Zero Emissions Commitments of Non-State Entities (HLEG) ¡°Integrity Matters¡± sets out ten practical recommendations to ensure that net-zero pledges are fully aligned with limiting global temperature rise to 1.5¡ã°ä above pre-industrial levels.
Businesses, financial institutions, cities and regions with a net-zero pledge are advised to record their alignment with the HLEG report using the implementation checklist.
