The UN Department of Public Information will hold its annual International Media Seminar on Peace in the Middle East, at the Vienna International Centre, in Vienna, Austria, from 5 to 6 October 2017. The event is being organized in cooperation with the Bruno Kreisky Forum for International Dialogue, with the support of the Â鶹APP Information Service in Vienna.<\/p>\n
This year, discussions under the overall theme “The question of Palestine: media narratives and public perspectives” will focus on a range of topics related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, including the current trends and outlook for the future in the light of 50 years of occupation; the role of empathy as an alternative way for seeking peace; media narratives and public perceptions from the Israeli and Palestinian perspectives; and the conflict through the lens of international media.<\/p>\n
