During the meeting, the Committee reviewed and formally adopted its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/unispal\/document\/2024-annual-report-ceirpp-31aug24\/\">annual report<\/a>\u00a0to the 2024 General Assembly (document\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fundocs.org%2FA%2F79%2F35&amp;data=05%7C02%7Cbaikenzhina%40un.org%7Cf0efa910462145f28ca208dcd36004d1%7C0f9e35db544f4f60bdcc5ea416e6dc70%7C0%7C0%7C638617656549062803%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=5KvCrynxfR%2FxiuHLMWmcfDRZW3wdlCIueiLUilFXy%2Bk%3D&amp;reserved=0\">A\/79\/35<\/a>), which outlines the Committee\u2019s activities, priorities, and recommendations for advancing the rights of the Palestinian people. The Committee reiterated its commitment to supporting the Palestinian people\u2019s inalienable rights to self-determination, independence, and statehood.<\/p>\n<p>The Permanent Observer Mission of the State of Palestine briefed the Committee on the recent development in Palestine and on the draft resolution on International Court of Justice Advisory Opinion on the legal consequences arising from Israel\u2019s policies and practices in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and from the illegality of Israel\u2019s continued presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The Chair of the Committee also shared updates on recent and upcoming activities of the Committee.
