Reduced and inconsistent arrival of food into the Gaza Strip via the various logistics corridors led to pipeline breaks and shortages of commodities, forcing a reduction of general food rations to 50 per cent.<\/li>\n<li>The arrival of commodities from Egypt was severely constrained, with high numbers of trucks being denied permission to offload and turned back, resulting in food shortages as well as additional transport and storage costs. The arrival of commodities from Jordan was also lower than planned due to the continued suspension of the Government-to-Government convoy modality.
