The Committee and the Division for Palestinian Rights of the UN Secretariat provide the information \u201cas is\u201d without warranty of any kind, and do not accept any responsibility or liability for the accuracy, or reliability of the information contained in the websites linked in the newsletter.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><u>Middle East<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 3 November, the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/pchrgaza.org\/israels-violations-of-human-rights-and-international-humanitarian-law-in-the-west-bank-in-october-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Palestinian Center for Human Rights<\/a><\/em> published an article on Israel\u2019s violations of human rights and international humanitarian law in the occupied West Bank in October 2025. The NGO stated that Israeli forces and settlers continued their violations of human rights against Palestinians and their properties including willful killings, destruction of public and private property, arrests and threats, among others. The article reads that October 2025 witnessed the most violent wave of settlers\u2019 attacks against Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season, with around 80 assaults reported against olive pickers.<\/li>\n<li>On 3 November, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mezan.org\/public\/en\/post\/46797\/Al-Mezan-Condemns-Israel%E2%80%99s-Renewed-Ban-Prohibiting-ICRC-Representatives-from-Visiting-Palestinian-Detainees-in-Israeli-Prisons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Al Mezan<\/a><\/em> published an article expressing concerns about the safety and wellbeing of Palestinians in Israeli custody after Israeli authorities had renewed a ban prohibiting the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) from visiting Palestinian detainees. The <em><a href=\"https:\/\/pchrgaza.org\/pchr-submits-evidence-of-systematic-torture-of-palestinian-detainees-ahead-of-uncat-review-of-israel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Palestinian Center for Human Rights<\/a><\/em> also published an article on this issue, informing it had sent a submission to the Committee Against Torture ahead of its review of Israel during its upcoming 86th session, scheduled to take place on 10 November. The NGO stated that it had presented strong evidence on unprecedented, widespread torture and ill-treatment methods as well as the inhumane detention conditions that former Palestinian detainees from Gaza have been subjected to in Israeli prisons and military camps since 7 October 2023.<\/li>\n<li>On 31 October, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/badil.org\/press-releases\/16353.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BADIL<\/a><\/em> issued the press release \u201cThe Palestinian Olive Harvest: Sumud, Land, and a Resisting Economy\u201d. The NGO stated that Israeli authorities have escalated land confiscation in the occupied West Bank, and further enabled Israeli settler attacks. Israeli forces have also imposed checkpoints and iron gates as instruments of domination, fragmenting Palestinian land into enclaves, while employing barriers as well as live ammunition to deny farmers access to their lands.<\/li>\n<li>On 29 October, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alhaq.org\/advocacy\/26712.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Al-Haq<\/a><\/em> published an article welcoming the new report \u201cGaza Genocide: a collective crime\u201d of the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, Francesca Albanese. Al-Haq stated that this report echoed the NGO\u2019s longstanding calls for an end to Israeli impunity and for respect for international law, and on the responsibilities of other countries in supporting the occupation. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.association-belgo-palestinienne.be\/colonisation-genocide-et-complicite-du-secteur-prive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Association Belgo-Palestinienne<\/a><\/em> published an article (in French) on this report as well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><u>Africa, Asia and Europe<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 5 November, the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrc.no\/news\/2025\/october\/three-weeks-into-ceasefire-gaza-shelter-aid-still-blocked-as-winter-nears\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Norwegian Refugee Council<\/a><\/em> published an article alerting that millions of shelter and non-food items were stuck in Jordan, Egypt, and Israel awaiting approvals to enter Gaza, leaving around 260,000 Palestinian families, equal to nearly 1.5 million people, exposed to worsening conditions. The NGO added that, since the ceasefire took effect on 10 October, Israeli authorities had rejected 23 requests from nine aid agencies to bring in urgently needed shelter supplies. Humanitarian organizations also warned that the window to scale up winterization assistance was closing rapidly.<\/li>\n<li>On 31 October, Agn\u00e8s Callamard, Secretary General of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/en\/latest\/news\/2025\/10\/what-happened-to-human-rights-for-palestinians\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amnesty International<\/a><\/em>, and Federico Borello, acting executive director of Human Rights Watch, published the article \u201cWhat happened to human rights for Palestinians?\u201d. The article criticized the United States\u2019 decision to impose sanctions on leading Palestinian human rights organizations. The NGOs also called on governments to condemn efforts to undermine the International Criminal Court\u2019s independence and to silence those who are documenting abuses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><u>North America<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 14 November, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/thejerusalemfund.org\/2025\/10\/2025-annual-conference-gaza-genocide-year-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Jerusalem Fund<\/a><\/em> will organize in Washington, D.C., its 2025 Annual Conference under the title \u201cGaza Genocide Year 3\u201d. According to the NGO, experts and advocates will discuss the situation in Gaza in two panel sessions.<\/li>\n<li>On 4 November, the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/fmep.org\/resource\/the-palestine-laboratory-a-conversation-with-antony-loewenstein\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Foundation for Middle East Peace<\/a><\/em> (FMEP) published the webinar \u201cThe Palestine Laboratory, A Conversation with Antony Loewenstein\u201d. Ahmed Moor, FMEP Fellow, spoke with author and journalist Antony Loewenstein about his upbringing in Australia, his film \u201cGermany\u2019s Israel Obsession\u201d, and the book he published in 2023, \u201cThe Palestine Laboratory: How Israel Exports the Technology of Occupation Around the World\u201d, and the possibility of a one-state outcome after a genocide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><u>Âé¶¹APP<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 12 November, the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/unispal\/event\/engagement-with-latin-american-civil-society-palestinian-diaspora-a-unified-call-for-action-to-end-the-war-on-gaza-and-israels-illegal-occupation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People<\/a><\/em> will hold its second 2025 Consultations with Civil Society Organizations at the Âé¶¹APP Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) headquarters, Santiago de Chile. The theme of the Consultations will be <em>\u201cEngagement with Latin American Civil Society &amp; Palestinian Diaspora: \u201cA Call for Action to Ensure Recovery and Healing in Gaza and to End Israel\u2019s Illegal Occupation\u201d<\/em>. The event will be held in person, and is open to Member States, media and the public.<\/li>\n<li>On 4 November, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ochaopt.org\/content\/un-relief-chief-calls-protection-palestinians-west-bank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator<\/a><\/em> Tom Fletcher issued a statement calling for the protection of Palestinians in the West Bank. He warned that reports of attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinians and their property across the West Bank were continuing, and added that the failure to prevent or punish such attacks was inconsistent with international law.<\/li>\n<li>On 4 November, the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/unispal\/document\/fao-press-release-04nov25\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Food Programme<\/a><\/em> (WFP) informed that, three weeks into the ceasefire, WFP has distributed food parcels to one million people in the Gaza Strip as part of a broad operation to push back hunger in the war-torn territory. The Programme added that humanitarian teams needed more border crossings to be opened and more access to key roads inside Gaza to continue expanding operations to the level required. The press release reads that only two crossings into Gaza were currently operational while all crossings needed to be open, especially those in the north, and full access to key roads across Gaza was also critical to allowing food to be transported quickly and efficiently to where it was needed.<\/li>\n<li>On 30 October, the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/unispal\/committee-briefing-with-un-special-rapporteurs-and-the-commission-of-inquiry-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People<\/a><\/em> held a virtual briefing titled \u201c<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZjwsiUlosmA&amp;embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.un.org%2F&amp;source_ve_path=MjM4NTE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Safeguarding Human Rights, Ensuring Accountability and Ending the Unlawful Occupation of Palestine<\/a><\/em>\u201d. The briefing featured presentations from the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territory Occupied since 1967, Francesca Albanese; the Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, its causes and consequences, Reem Alsalem; the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism, Ben Saul; as well as Commissioner of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel, Chris Sidoti.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; This newsletter informs about recent and upcoming activities of Civil Society Organizations working on the question of Palestine.
