WFP calls for all parties to the conflict to protect civilians, humanitarian<br \/>\nworkers, and critical infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>The crisis in the West Bank also continues to deepen, with ongoing military incursions and violence. Humanitarian needs in the West<br \/>\nBank are noticeably surging amid rising economic hardship, blocked access to services, and increased displacement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Situation Update:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>No humanitarian or commercial supplies have entered the Strip for over eight weeks. On 25 April, WFP announced it has depleted all its food stocks for families in Gaza.<\/li>\n<li>Gaza\u2019s food security crisis is rapidly worsening; dietary availability is sharply declining. Food prices in April rose by an average of 50 percent compared to March, and by up to 1,400 percent higher than during the ceasefire. Markets are operating at below 40 percent capacity, with shops displaying empty shelves. Commodities are scarce and expensive. Access to essential foods like meat, eggs, dairy, and fresh produce is very limited. 95 percent of households report cash shortages. Child malnutrition cases surged by 80 percent in March, and 90 percent of households now lack safe drinking water, highlighting the urgent need for humanitarian access.<\/li>\n<li>Armed robberies and attacks on humanitarian operations continue to escalate, with one WFP cooperating partner\u2019s (CP) warehouse looted (10 mt stolen) and one (CP) truck hijacked (3.5 mt looted) in the past week.<\/li>\n<li>In the West Bank, military operations and violence continue to escalate, displacing thousands across Jenin, Tulkarem, Nur Shams, Al Far\u2019a, Nablus, and Ramallah. IDF operations have intensified, with expanded buffer zones, home demolitions, and over 900 roadblocks restricting movement. Jenin is now fully encircled, and evacuation orders increasingly issued.
