From Philippe Lazzarini, the UNRWA Commissioner-General as posted on his official X account (previously known as Twitter)<\/em><\/p>\n The spread of\u00a0disinformation\u00a0against\u00a0UNRWA\u00a0is meant to create chaos & divert attention from the political aims to dismantle the Agency.<\/p>\n It is distraction from what really matters: The devastating impact the war in\u00a0Gaza\u00a0& the region is having on civilians & the work that our\u00a0UNRWA\u00a0teams continue to do to save lives.<\/p>\n The spread of false information continues unabated causing harm to Palestine Refugess by undermining the only UN agency dedicated to providing humanitarian assistance, education + primary health care to one of the most vulnerable communities in the region.<\/p>\n UNRWA is the international community\u2019s instrument put in place to address the plight of Palestine refugees in the absence of an alternative & until a just political solution is found.<\/p>\n Most importantly, this dis-information campaign is putting the lives of my colleagues in the occupied Palestinian territory including\u00a0Gaza\u00a0at further risk.<\/p>\n Before you share, double check the source & question the intent.
