From Philippe Lazzarini, the UNRWA Commissioner-General as posted on his official X account (previously known as Twitter)<\/strong><\/p>\n As part of its campaign to undermine & discredit\u00a0@UNRWA<\/a><\/em> , the Government of Israel has been buying ads on @Google<\/a><\/em>\u00a0to block users from giving donations to the Agency + undertake a defamation campaign.<\/p>\n @UNRWA<\/a><\/em>\u00a0is the largest humanitarian organization responding to the crisis in\u00a0#Gaza<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n This does not just hurt the agency\u2019s reputation but most importantly it puts the lives of our staff at risk.<\/p>\n These deliberate efforts to spread misinformation should stop + be investigated.<\/p>\n Companies including social media platforms continue to make profit through spreading misinformation.
