Another horrific day in Gaza. Another UNRWA school turned shelter attacked. This time in Nuseirat, Middle Areas.<\/p><\/div>\n

Another horrific day in\u00a0#Gaza<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Another\u00a0@UNRWA<\/a><\/em>\u00a0school turned shelter attacked. This time in Nuseirat, in the Middle Areas, hit overnight by the Israeli Forces without prior warning to the displaced or\u00a0@UNRWA<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

At least 35 people were killed and many more injured.<\/p>\n

The school was sheltering 6,000 displaced people when it was hit.<\/p>\n

Claims that armed groups may have been inside the shelter are shocking. We are however unable to verify these claims.<\/p>\n

Attacking, targeting or using UN buildings for military purposes are a blatant disregard of International Humanitarian law.\u00a0@UN<\/a><\/em>\u00a0staff, premises and operations must be protected at all times.<\/p>\n

Since the war in\u00a0#Gaza<\/a><\/em>\u00a0began, over 180\u00a0@UNRWA<\/a><\/em>\u00a0buildings were hit and more than 450 displaced people were killed as a result.<\/p>\n

@UNRWA<\/a><\/em>\u00a0shares the coordinates of all its facilities (including this school) with the Israeli Army and other parties to the conflict.<\/div>\n
