All children are entitled to special protection under international human rights law, and all their rights including the right to life and protection must be upheld\u00a0at all times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChildren continue to pay the highest price of violence.\u00a0Since the start of\u00a02023,\u00a07 Palestinian children and one Israeli child have been killed.\u00a0Many more were injured or have been affected by the spiral of violence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As the situation remains\u00a0very\u00a0volatile, UNICEF fears\u00a0that an increasing\u00a0number of children will suffer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUNICEF appeals\u00a0to\u00a0all parties to\u00a0de-escalate, exercise the utmost\u00a0restraint and\u00a0refrain from using violence, especially against children, in accordance with international law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cViolence is never a solution, and\u00a0all forms of\u00a0violence against children\u00a0are unacceptable.
