The speakers for the event are: Professor Mary Grey and Dr. Peter Shambrook, an independent historian. The event includes the screening of the documentary film \u201cBritain and Palestine 1917-1948\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 14 February, in Brighton, UK, under the auspices of Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, the St. Paul\u2019s church is hosting a classical concert \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.palestinecampaign.org\/events\/concert-brighton-palestinian-young-musicians-together\/\">Brighton and Palestinian Young Musicals together<\/a>to raise funds and to invite young, talented Palestinian musicians to Brighton Fringe festival 2016.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign from 19 through 21 January is launching Professor Jeff Halper\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ipsc.ie\/press-releases\/jeff-halper-book-tour-war-against-the-people-israel-the-palestinians-and-global-pacification\">book<\/a>: \u201cWar against the People: Israel, the Palestinians and Global Pacification.\u201d On 30 January, IPSC is organizing its annual\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ipsc.ie\/event\/dundalk-trad-for-gaza-independent\">\u201cTrad for Gaza\u201d<\/a>\u00a0music night to raise awareness for the people of Gaza.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"18\" data-lineheight=\"27px\"><strong>The United States of America<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>From 28 January through 25 February in New York, the task force on Israel-Palestine at St. Michael\u2019s church is organizing an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.saintmichaelschurch.org\/outreach-advocacy\/task-force-israel-palestine\/\">Israel Palestine Film Festival<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The Jerusalem Fund in Washington D.C. on 12 February is screening the movie by Hind Shoufani \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/ht\/d\/EventDetails\/i\/57180\">Trip Along Exodus<\/a>\u201d. The film maker captures different angles of her father\u2019s life who was a writer and a leader of the PLO.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Human Rights Watch issued its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/sites\/default\/files\/world_report_download\/wr2016_web.pdf\">World Report<\/a>\u00a0for 2015 stating that there was a sharp rise in killings and injuries related to Israeli-Palestinian hostilities beginning in October.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"16\" data-lineheight=\"24px\"><strong>Middle East<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Palestinian American Research Center announced its \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/parc-us-pal.org\/\">2016 Media Development Seminar<\/a>\u201d for US faculty and professors of journalism, film and media 10 to 12 faculty members will be selected for Jerusalem based activities, that will include visiting university media departments and local media outlets as well as meeting with Palestinian scholars and journalists, civil society and government.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Palestinian Centre for Human Rights published its\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/pchrgaza.org\/en\/?p=7790\">weekly report<\/a>\u00a0(14-20 January, 2016) on \u201cIsraeli Human Rights Violations in the Occupied Palestinian territory\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"16\" data-lineheight=\"24px\"><strong>The Â鶹APP<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 27 January, The Palestinian Rights Committee held its first meeting of the year. The programme of work for 2016 was adopted and the elections of the bureau were held.
