The Committee and the Division for Palestinian Rights of the UN Secretariat provide the information \u201cas is\u201d without warranty of any kind, and do not accept any responsibility or liability for the accuracy, or reliability of the information contained in the websites linked in the newsletter.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>NGO Action News<br \/>\n29 July 2016<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<p><b><i><u>Asia<\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i><u>North America<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">On 11 August, Canadian Friends for Sabeel and Freedom Flotilla Coalition will hold a conference titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/allevents.in\/montreal\/gr-conf-palestine\/927513180694275\"><u>Palestinians under Apartheid, Occupation and Siege<\/u><\/a>\u201d with three Christian and Muslim Palestinian speakers, Basel Ghattas (Member of Knesset), Nora Carmi, Zakariah Odeh (Civic Coalition for Palestinian Rights in Jerusalem), discussing their personal experiences living as Palestinians citizens of Israel.\u00b7\u00a0On 14 August,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.auphr.org\/auphrgooglecal.php?showcal=1&amp;uid=unps7cccd5su8hjuti3jjr0260@google.com\"><u>Americans United for Palestinian Human Rights<\/u><\/a>\u00a0will hold a rally\/vigil with poetry and music, in Portland, to commemorate 2 years after the 2014 Israeli war on Gaza.\u00b7\u00a0On 25 September,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ottawarunforpalestine.com\/event-details\"><u>Ottawa Run for Palestine<\/u><\/a>\u00a0will hold their second annual run in Ottawa to raise money for the UNRWA\u2019s Community Mental Health Programme for Palestinian children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"center\"><b><i><u>Australia<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">On 17 August, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.afopa.com.au\/afopa-events\/2016\/8\/17\/afopa-book-club\"><u>Australian Friends of Palestinian Association<\/u><\/a>\u00a0will hold a book club session in Adelaide to discuss Ilan Pappe\u2019s book, \u201cThe Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"center\"><b><i><u>Middle East<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">On 27 July, B\u2019tselem published a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.btselem.org\/press_releases\/20160727_house_demolitions_in_area_c\"><u>report<\/u><\/a>\u00a0stating that Israel demolished more Palestinian homes in the West Bank in first half of 2016 than in all 2015. The report was presented at the Knesset at a conference on Israel\u2019s Policy of Palestinian home demolition in Area C.\u00b7\u00a0On 30 July,<a href=\"http:\/\/samidoun.net\/2016\/07\/30-july-rabat-protest-in-solidarity-with-bilal-kayed-and-all-palestinian-prisoners\/\"><u>\u00a0the Democratic Union of Moroccan Youth\u00a0<\/u><\/a>will hold a vigil, in Rabat, in solidarity with Bilal Kayed and all Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.
