\/>\n<\/strong><strong>15 September 2017<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Global<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Resources to join the World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel (17 to 24 September) with educational activities, prayer and action for a just peace can be found on the websites of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oikoumene.org\/en\/press-centre\/events\/world-week-of-peace-in-palestine-and-israel\">World Council of Churches<\/a> (WCC) and <a href=\"http:\/\/paxchristi.org.uk\/campaigns\/israel-and-palestine\/world-week-for-peace-in-pi\/\">Pax Christi International<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 13 September, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/news\/2017\/09\/13\/israel\/palestine-israeli-banks-supporting-settlements\">Human Rights Watch<\/a> released a report <em>\u201cIsraeli Banks Supporting Settlements\u201d<\/em>, challenging arguments by Israeli banks that domestic law obliges them to provide services that help support settlements, and calling on them to cease settlement-related activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Middle East<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 17 September, <a href=\"http:\/\/gisha.org\/UserFiles\/File\/publications\/Graphs\/Graphing-10-years-of-closure.EN.pdf\">Gisha-Legal Center for Freedom of Movement<\/a> issued a new factsheet <em>\u201cGraphing 10 Years of Closure and the Impact of Israel\u2019s Policy on the Gaza Strip\u201d<\/em>, concluding that \u201celements of the closure policy are actually viewed by Israel not as necessary for security but rather as bargaining chips.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 14 September, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adalah.org\/uploads\/uploads\/New_Discriminatory_Laws_and_Bills_11.9.2017.pdf\">Adalah-The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights<\/a> updated its database of discriminatory Israeli legislation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>After ten years of litigation, on 13 September, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adalah.org\/en\/content\/view\/9227\">Adalah<\/a> and the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) welcomed a ruling by the Israeli Supreme Court, which established that the Jerusalem residency of four Palestinian parliamentarians could not be revoked by the Interior Minister on grounds of a \u201cbreach of loyalty\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>North America<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 17 November, the Jerusalem Fund in Washington, D.C. will hold its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/18685\/2017-palestine-center-annual-conference\">Palestine Center Annual Conference<\/a> <em>\u201cThe Palestinian Struggle: Adversity on all Fronts\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>From 12 to 22 October, The Freedom Theatre production <em>\u201cThe Siege\u201d<\/em>, an artistic reflection on the 2002 siege of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, will be performed at the <a href=\"https:\/\/nyuskirball.org\/events\/the-siege\/\">New York University<\/a> (NYU) Skirball Center.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To mark <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RebuildingAlliance\/\">International Day of Peace<\/a>, Palestinian children supported by Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) and the Rebuilding Alliance are speaking on 19 September about their vision for peace at a special Congressional Briefing <em>(#ICareAboutPeace<\/em>) in Washington, D.C., sponsored by the office of US Senator Bernie Sanders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 14 September, <a href=\"https:\/\/al-shabaka.org\/memos\/chinas-new-plan-israel-palestine\/\">Al Shabaka-The Palestinian Policy Network<\/a> published a policy memo <em>\u201cChina\u2019s New Plan for Israel-Palestine\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 11 September, Susan Akram, Clinical Professor of Law at Boston University, published an article <em>\u201cThirteen Years Later, the ICJ Advisory Opinion on the Wall\u201d<\/em> in <a href=\"https:\/\/palestinesquare.com\/2017\/09\/11\/in-depth-thirteen-years-later-the-icj-advisory-opinion-on-the-wall\/\">Palestine Square<\/a>, the blog of the Institute for Palestine Studies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/mcccanada.ca\/learn\/where\/middle-east\/palestine-israel\/cry-for-home\">Mennonite Central Committee<\/a> (MCC) has launched a new advocacy campaign <em>\u201cA Cry for Home\u201d<\/em>, which includes fact sheets on detention, house demolitions and settlements as well as short videos featuring personal stories of Palestinians and Israelis who explain what homes means to them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Australia<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 7 October, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.afopa.com.au\/afopa-events\/2017\/10\/7\/film-from-under-the-rubble\">Australian Friends of Palestine Association<\/a> (AFOPA) will host a reception to celebrate the world premiere of the Gaza documentary \u201c<em>From under the Rubble<\/em>\u201d at the Adelaide Film Festival.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Â鶹APP<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The report on UN Conference on Trade and Development (<a href=\"http:\/\/unctad.org\/en\/pages\/newsdetails.aspx?OriginalVersionID=1539&amp;Sitemap_x0020_Taxonomy=Assistance%20to%20the%20Palestinian%20People;#20;\">UNCTAD<\/a>) Assistance to the Palestinian People was released on 12 September <em>\u201cDevelopments in the Economy of the Occupied Palestinian Territory\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>UN Women posted an article on the visit of UN Secretary-General Ant\u00f3nio Guterres on 29 August to the <a href=\"http:\/\/palestine.unwomen.org\/en\/news-and-events\/stories\/2017\/08\/osc-sg-visit\">One Stop Centre<\/a> in Ramallah, a
