MAP also reiterated the urgent need to overcome the challenges in Gaza through practical support and political action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 7 March, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.addameer.org\/news\/arrest-and-detention-palestinian-women-and-girls\">Addameer<\/a> published a press release with recommendations on the <em>\u201cArrest and Detention of Palestinian Women and Girls\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 5 March, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alhaq.org\/advocacy\/topics\/wall-and-jerusalem\/1195-the-occupation-and-annexation-of-jerusalem-through-israeli-bills-and-laws\">Al-Haq and the Al-Quds University Community Action Centre<\/a> published a brief on <em>\u201cThe Occupation and Annexation of Jerusalem through Israeli Bills and Laws\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 5 March, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gcmhp.com\/en\/news.aspx?id=1691\">Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP)<\/a>, in partnership with M\u00e9decins du Monde (MDM) France, concluded a training for social workers from different organizations on <em>\u201cBrief Recovery for Trauma Survivors\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>North America<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 25 March, the Taub Center for Israel Studies at <a href=\"http:\/\/as.nyu.edu\/hebrewjudaic\/taub\/events\/spring-2018\/Oslo25YearsLater.html\">New York University<\/a> (NYU) will host a conference on <em>\u201cOslo: 25 Years Later\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 22 March, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palestine.mei.columbia.edu\/cps-events-spring-2018\/2018\/3\/22\/the-right-to-have-rights\">Columbia University Centre for Palestine Studies<\/a> is inviting to a talk with Leila Farsakh, Professor of Political Science at UMass Boston, on \u201c<em>The Right to Have Rights \u2013 Partition, Statehood and Self-Determination\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 7 March, <a href=\"https:\/\/fmep.org\/event\/crosshairs-israeli-civil-society-threat\/\">The Foundation for Middle East Peace<\/a> in Washington, D.C., hosted Yehuda Shaul, founder and co-director of Breaking the Silence, and Rabbi Jill Jacobs, author and director of T\u2019ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights, for a talk on \u201c<em>In the Crosshairs: Israeli Civil Society Under Threat\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 6 March, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/events\/upcoming\/impacts-u-s-funding-freeze-unrwa\">The Jerusalem Fund<\/a> organized a talk with Elizabeth Campbell, Director of UNRWA\u2019s Representative Office in Washington, D.C., on the impacts of the U.S. funding freeze on UNRWA operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Europe<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 21 March, the <a href=\"https:\/\/prc.org.uk\/en\/post\/3811\/invitation-to-a-meeting-on-forced-displacement-in-the-occupied-palestinian-territories\">Palestinian Return Centre<\/a> is organizing a meeting in the Houses of Parliament in London a meeting on <em>\u201cForced Displacement in the Occupied Palestinian Territories\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 11 and 12 March, the <a href=\"https:\/\/ff.hrw.org\/film\/muhi-generally-temporary\">Human Rights Watch Film Festival<\/a> will be screening <em>\u201cMuhi \u2013 Generally Temporary\u201d<\/em> in London. The documentary tells the story of a young boy from Gaza with a life-threatening immune disorder who received treatment at an Israeli hospital, illustrating the challenges faced by patients in Gaza.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>From 3 to 10 March, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palestinecampaign.org\/events\/women-palestine-ongoing-nakba\/\">Northern Women for Palestine<\/a> is organizing a series of events entitled <em>\u201cWomen of Palestine \u2013 The Ongoing Nakba\u201d<\/em> for the International Women\u2019s Day. The events will take place in various locations across the United Kingdom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Â鶹APP<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 16 March, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wclac.org\/english\/etemplate.php?id=1976\">The Women Centre for Legal Aid and Counselling (WCLAC)<\/a> will host the side event <em>\u201cThe Gendered Impact of Israeli Occupation on Palestinian Women\u201d <\/em>at the 62nd session of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unwomen.org\/en\/csw\/csw62-2018\">Commission on the Status of Women<\/a> (CSW62) in New York.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 8 March, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unrwa.org\/newsroom\/official-statements\/human-security-palestine-refugee-women-are-priceless-and-deserve-global\">UNRWA<\/a> Commissioner-General Pierre Kr\u00e4henb\u00fchl stressed that the fulfillment of the rights of women and girls was indivisible from the agency\u2019s mandate to serve Palestine refugees and lies at the heart of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unrwa.org\/donate\">Dignity is Priceless<\/a> international campaign.
