Question<\/u>:\u00a0 Okay.\u00a0 Thank you.\u00a0 The Palestinian Authorities are clamping down on those critics of going back to the security coordination with Israel.\u00a0 The latest, they arrested Nizar Banat \u2014 Banat, his last name is B\u2011a\u2011n\u2011a\u2011t \u2014 for issuing a YouTube video criticizing the Authority.\u00a0 They also called for questioning a broadcast \u2014 young female, not well\u2011known radio producer also for questioning.\u00a0 So, there are a number of statements issued to criticise that, including the Euro\u2011Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights and others.<\/p>\n

Do we expect a statement from the\u2026\u00a0 Mr. Mladenov or from any other UN agency?<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 I\u2019m not aware of the particular case, but what I can tell you, clearly, from our standpoint, is that people should be able to express their political opinions freely and free from any harassment or intimidation.<\/p>\n
