The Â鶹APP provides these documents only as a convenience for reference purposes, and the inclusion of a document does not imply the endorsement of its content by the Â鶹APP.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Brussels, 19\/11\/2020 &#8211; 21:33, UNIQUE ID: 201119_26<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/audiovisual.ec.europa.eu\/en\/video\/I-199206\">video<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\/&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Then, we discussed with the\u00a0Palestinian Foreign Minister,\u00a0Riyad al-Maliki, the situation in Palestine, the Middle Eastern Peace Process and our bilateral relations.<\/p>\n<p>First, we welcomed the recent decision of the Palestinian Authority to resume cooperation and dialogue with Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Second, we [reiterated] the need to relaunch Palestinian-Israeli negotiations in order to find a lasting solution to the conflict.<\/p>\n<p>Deep concern was expressed regarding Israeli settlement activities, which threaten the viability of the two-state solution.<\/p>\n<p>We reiterated European Union\u2019s support to a negotiated two-state solution and discussed\u00a0how we can contribute to create better conditions for the resumption of negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians.<\/p>\n<p>We stressed that the\u00a0intra-Palestinian reconciliation is urgently needed. Also, free, fair, inclusive,\u00a0genuine and democratic elections are important for Palestinian state-building and unity.
