Question<\/u>:\u00a0 Thank you, St\u00e9phane.\u00a0 First, I have a follow\u2011up to my question yesterday about Mohammed Assaf being prevented from going back to the West Bank.\u00a0 That\u2019s a follow\u2011up question of yesterday.\u00a0 And my second question\u2026<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 Yes, I don\u2019t have an\u2026 I apologise.\u00a0 I don\u2019t have an update for you on that.<\/p>\n

Question<\/u>:\u00a0 My second question\u2026 or my question for the day is about [Nickolay] Mladenov briefing to the Security Council on Monday.\u00a0 He requested the PA [Palestine Authority] to resume security and civilian coordination with Israel, which is a fact that he ignoring the reasons for the suspension \u2014 because Israel decided to annex 30\u00a0per\u00a0cent of the West Bank and build more settlement, which Israel is doing as we speak.\u00a0 Why he failed also to call on Israel to lift 13\u00a0year\u2026 13\u00a0years of siege on Gaza, instead of asking the PA [Palestine Authority] to resume coordinate\u2026 security coordination with Israel?<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 I think his remarks were a broad reflection of the consistent positions we have had and the consistent calls we have had for\u2026 from the Secretary\u2011General in calling for dialogue, in ensuring that humanitarian aid and goods and people are able to flow freely.\u00a0 I don\u2019t see any of his remarks as a change in our basic principles.<\/p>\n
