Question<\/u>:\u00a0 Okay.\u00a0 I have two questions on the issue of Palestine.\u00a0 First, yesterday, in a clash between the arm\u2026 Israeli Army and the Palestinians who were protesting the confiscation of their land near the town of Tulkarm, a few soldiers grabbed a senior man of 64\u00a0years old.\u00a0 His name is Khairi Hanoon, and they throw him to the ground, and one of the soldiers put his knee on his neck, exactly like what happened to George Floyd.\u00a0 And the video went viral; everyone saw it, probably, except [Nickolay] Mladenov didn\u2019t see it, yes.\u00a0 And luckily, because there was so many cameras, the man was saved, so many journalists around there.<\/p>\n

So, why these incidents do not make it to the office of Mr.\u00a0Mladenov?\u00a0 Again, I raised the issue of the two disabled Palestinians.\u00a0 I raised the issue of the woman who was killed in her home, and this time, it\u2019s also another\u2026 [cross talk]<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 We will check with our colleagues to see if we have any information on this incident.\u00a0 And your other question?<\/p>\n

Question<\/u>:\u00a0 The other question is, when he\u2026 when Mr.\u00a0Mladenov issued a statement yesterday, he said, I \u2014 you read it yesterday \u2014 I welcome the agreement, and he said to de\u2011es\u2026 the de\u2011escalation of tension in and around Gaza, ending the launching of incendiary devices and projectiles.\u00a0 He didn\u2019t finish saying \u201cand ending the air raids and missiles thrown by Israel to Gaza\u201d. \u00a0Why he didn\u2019t miss that\u2026 that part?\u00a0 Palestinians\u2026 [cross talk]<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 I think he was very clear in the need also for the blockade to end, the fuel blockade to end and for humanitarian aid to go in.\u00a0 We have spoken out\u2026 [cross talk]<\/p>\n

Question<\/u>:\u00a0 [inaudible] was conducted raids on Gaza\u2026 [cross talk]<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 We\u2019ve spoken out on the missile strikes.\u00a0 We\u2019ve spoken out on the incendiary devices.\u00a0 For us, what is important is that there was an agreement, which would lead to a better life\u2026 you know, alleviating of the suffering of the people in Gaza.<\/p>\n

Question<\/u>:\u00a0 I\u2019m just saying that there is something incomplete.\u00a0 He welcomed the ending of the incendiary devices and projectiles, but on the other hand, Israel was raiding Gaza for the last week, for last few weeks.<\/p>\n

This latest round was a cycle of violence.\u00a0 I\u2026 listen, I think you and I, as I\u2019ve said, will never see eye to eye on this.\u00a0 Mr.\u00a0Mladenov\u2026<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 Walter\u2019s forgotten what good manners are.\u00a0 It\u2019s been months.\u00a0 You and I will never see eye to eye on this.\u00a0 What is\u2026 Mr.\u00a0Mladenov has been working tirelessly to try to bring an end to the violence in this cycle and to make lives for the people of Gaza and the surrounding communities in Israel better.<\/p>\n
