SECRETARY-GENERAL WELCOMES HEBRON AGREEMENT AS<\/u><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

'IMPORTANT ACHIEVEMENT'<\/u><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>The following statement was issued today by the Acting Spokesman for Secretary-General Kofi Annan:<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tThe Secretary-General is very much encouraged by the conclusion of an <\/span>agreement regarding Hebron and other important issues<\/a>, which  has now been reached between Israel and the Palestinians.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tHe considers this to be an important achievement, which he hopes will now pave the way for further progress towards the full implementation of the process envisaged in the Declaration of Principles agreed in Oslo.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
