&#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\/&#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">YOUSEF BIN ALAWI BIN ABDULLAH, Minister for Foreign Affairs of <u>Oman<\/u>, &#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\/&#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">He said that Oman had followed with grave concern the developments in Palestine.&#160; The Palestinian Authority had accepted the conditions of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/unispal.un.org\/pdfs\/6129B9C832FE59AB85256D43004D87FA.pdf\" style=\"color:#0000ff;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">Road Map<\/a><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;towards peace in the region.&#160; But despite that, the Israeli had nevertheless taken the decision to remove Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.&#160; The Quartet must move to exercise its international obligation to ensure that the peace plan was implemented.&#160; The Âé¶¹APP and the wider international community must ensure that Israel did not follow through with its policy.&#160; Oman was duty-bound to warn that Israel&#8217;s non-commitment to the establishment of a Palestinian State under the conditions set out in the Road Map would bring about for all a crisis with destructive consequences.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\/&#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">STEPHEN KALONZO MUSYOKA, Minister for Foreign Affairs of <u>Kenya<\/u>, &#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\/&#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The continued deterioration of the situation in the Middle East was another area of concern, he said, expressing regret that a lasting solution remained elusive despite various initiatives and efforts.&#160; The objective of establishing a viable Palestinian State, as envisaged in Âé¶¹APP resolutions, should not be lost.&#160; Moreover, in order to ensure a durable solution to the conflict, it was important to take full account of the right of Israel to exist within safe and secure borders.&#160;
