Memorandum dated 5 August 1949<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

Submitted to the Conciliation Commission<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

by Representatives of Three Arab Refugee Organizations<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

We have the honour to submit the following for your kind consideration:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

1. Refugees delegations attended the discussions of your committee in Lausanne since the start. They submitted their views and substantial submissions, which further were examined and discussed in all its aspects in the course of personal conversations between the honourable members of your Commission and members of our various delegations; on the other hand, we wish to recall that we have insisted from the beginning that the Commission should look upon us the real representatives of the refugees and that the so-called Arab High Committee should not represent our case, and that we are the real representatives elected by the majority of the refugees and the Land Lords of Palestine, supported in our talks by all other refugees who could not participate in your conference because of being poor or they could not attend, to express their wishes.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Therefore we submit this application, repeating what we have already submitted and stated to you, praying for the following:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

A. That copies of records of different past and future meetings with all parties concerned be served upon us.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

B. That you be kind enough to exchange views with us on broader basis and in circumstances which may make possible the achievement of concrete and positive results, as we are aware and well acquainted with different proposals and suggestions, which may be considered for the preservation of the rights and property of the refugees.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

C. To keep us well and regularly informed of the work of your committee.<\/p><\/div>\n
