Readout of the President's Call with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke by phone today as part of their regular consultations.  The two leaders discussed regional issues including recent developments in Egypt, Iran, and Syria.  The President encouraged Prime Minister Netanyahu to continue to work with Secretary Kerry to resume negotiations with the Palestinians as soon as possible.  The leaders affirmed the importance of continued close coordination between the United States and Israel on a range of security issues.<\/p><\/div>\n
