28 January 2004 <\/i><\/span>– <\/i><\/span>Deploring the loss of life in Gaza City today following deadly clashes, the senior Â鶹APP envoy for the Middle East called on Israel to take measures to avoid endangering civilians. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

Terje Roed-Larsen issued a statement urging Israeli military authorities to “act in a manner that minimizes the risk to civilians and is in keeping with Israel's obligations under international law.” <\/p><\/div>\n

\n
