ISRAELI-JORDANIAN MIXED ARMISTICE COMMISSION<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

MEETS IN JERUSALEM<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

(The following was received at UN Headquarters from the Press Officer<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

with the UN Acting Mediator's staff in Jerusalem.)<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The situation created by Israeli occupation of a portion of the Government House area in Jerusalem was discussed yesterday by the Mixed Armistice Commission (for Israel and the Hashemite Jordan Kingdom) at Government House under the chairmanship of Brigadier General William E. Riley, Chief of Staff of the Â鶹APP Acting Mediator for Palestine.  The discussion lasted six hours.<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>The meeting was then adjourned until 8:00 GMT today (13 June) when efforts will continue to work out a satisfactory solution.<\/p><\/div>\n
