EUPOL COPPS’ supports training on Project Cycle Management<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The management and administrative staff of the High Judicial Council and the Attorney General's Office received an introductory training on project cycle management, whose graduation ceremony took place today, 24 November, in Ramallah. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

This training, implemented by the Ma'an Development Center and coordinated by EUPOL COPPS, has the goal of enhancing the capacities of the High Judicial Council and Attorney General's Office's staff to design and implement their programs and projects to better serve the two organizations, their beneficiaries, their partners and the Palestinian people at large. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The training will also facilitate further progress towards building self-sufficient and sustainable institutions, and enhancing cooperation between them. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The trainees came from the different non-judicial but rather operational departments of the two institutions, such as the Planning Unit, the IT Department, the Administration Department and the Legal Department, whose capacity development is crucial in order to advance both institutions. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

During the closing ceremony, EUPOL COPPS' Head of Rule of Law section, Mr. Nicholas Robson, stated that "it is very important that both judicial institutions get the knowledge of project cycle management, learning how to design, develop, implement and evaluate projects". Moreover, he highlighted the importance of "having this know-how being transferred from these trainees to other members of their respective organizations". <\/p><\/div>\n

This introductory training will be followed by more specialized and advance courses in the near future. <\/p><\/div>\n
