3 February<\/strong>\t<\/span>The Working Group of the Multilateral Negotiations on Security and Arms Control agreed in Cairo on a draft accord concerning the limitation of arms proliferation in the Middle East. (Al-Ittihad<\/u>)<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tAn Israeli undercover security unit shot dead a leader of the Fatah-Hawks and injured five others in Rafah refugee camp.  Israeli troops later on opened  fire  on  demonstrators  in the camp and injured 2 boys under 13.  (Al-Ittihad<\/u>)\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

4 February<\/strong>\t<\/span>Four young Palestinians were shot and injured by Israeli troops in Rafah refugee camp.  An armed Palestinian group opened fire at a military patrol in Khan Younis.  Three molotov bombs were thrown at military posts in Khan Younis refugee camp.  (The Jerusalem Press<\/u>)<\/p><\/div>\n

7 February<\/strong>\t<\/span>Two Palestinians were shot and injured by the Israeli army in Jabalia refugee camp.  (Al-Ittihad<\/u>)  A "suspected collaborator" was found shot dead in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood of Gaza City.  (The Jerusalem Press<\/u>)<\/p><\/div>\n

8 February<\/strong>\t<\/span>The Israeli army shot and injured 12 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and 2 others in the West Bank.  (Al-Ittihad<\/u>)<\/p><\/div>\n

14 February<\/strong>\t<\/span>The French Foreign Minister, Alain Juppe, met with a Palestinian delegation headed by Feisal Husseini in Jerusalem.  (The Jerusalem Press<\/u>)<\/p><\/div>\n

22 February<\/strong>\t<\/span>A "suspected collaborator" was shot dead by a Hamas unit of Izziddin Qassam in the Gaza neighbourhood of Sheikh Radwan.  Israeli troops shot and injured two Palestinians in Jenin.  (The Jerusalem Press<\/u>)<\/p><\/div>\n

25 February<\/strong>\t<\/span>A Jewish settler from Kiryat Arba fired an automatic machine gun on Palestinian worshippers during their morning prayer in the Hebron Ibrahimi Mosque on Friday, 25 February.  The number of casualties was put by the Palestine Human Rights Information Center (PHRIC) at 48 dead and 250 injured.  Other sources reported 43 dead and yet others indicated that more than 50 people were killed in the mosque.  The settler, born in the United States, was himself killed by survivors.<\/p><\/div>\n

28 February<\/strong>\t<\/span>The Â鶹APP Security Council began debate on the Hebron massacre under agenda item "The situation in the occupied Arab territories".<\/p><\/div>\n
