European Union supports Palestinian public service providers with a further 21 million Euros<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

The Temporary International Mechanism (TIM) is to disburse a further 21 million Euros in financial support to Palestinian civilian public service providers and pensioners in the first week of July. The payment will be made from a German and an EU contribution to the TIM. More than 77,000 beneficiaries will receive NIS 1,500 directly into their bank accounts, in coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Finance.<\/p><\/div>\n

37,000 teachers and other employees in the public education sector, as well as 12,000 public health care providers are among the beneficiaries of TIM allowances.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

Since July 2006, the TIM disbursed €190 million in social allowances to civilian public service providers and pensioners.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

The TIM allowances aim to support the Palestinian population in the context of the current socio-economic crisis.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n
