KIM HOWELLS CONCERNED BY CIVILIAN DEATH IN SDEROT <\/strong><\/span>(22\/05\/07)

Speaking earlier today Kim Howells, Foreign Office Minister with responsibility for the Middle East said:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

'I am concerned to hear of the death of an Israeli woman in Sderot yesterday evening as a result of a Qassam rocket attack. We continue to call for an immediate halt to these attacks which target civilians and only escalate an already tense situation. We call on Israel to show restraint in the face of these attacks and any response must be in accordance with international law. All parties must find a way to restore calm for the sake of the civilian populations on both sides.' <\/p><\/div>\n
