UN Middle East envoy condemns latest suicide bombing near Tel Aviv<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

10 October <\/i><\/span>– <\/i><\/span>The Â鶹APP Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Terje Roed-Larsen, today strongly condemned the suicide bombing attack near Tel Aviv, where an elderly woman was killed and more than a dozen other people injured. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

Extending condolences to the victims' families, Mr. Roed-Larsen reiterated that such repugnant terror attacks were legally and morally indefensible and completely counter-productive to peace efforts. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

In his statement, released in Jerusalem, the envoy also called on both parties to show restraint and adhere immediately to Security Council <\/span>resolution 1435<\/u><\/a> adopted last month. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Among other provisions, that resolution called for a halt to all violence, "including all acts of terror, provocation, incitement and destruction."<\/p><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n
