Annan appalled by fatal bomb attack at Hebrew University<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

31 July <\/i><\/span>– <\/i><\/span>Appalled by today’s bomb attack at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Â鶹APP Secretary-General Kofi Annan strongly denounced such terror acts aimed against the civilian population and repeated his previous calls to all sides to break the cycle of violence. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

The Secretary-General "condemns utterly all such terrorist attacks against civilians," a spokesman for Mr. Annan said in a statement following news that seven people were killed and more than 80 others wounded in the bombing. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

"He once again urges all concerned to end the cycle of violence, revenge and retaliation, and calls on the parties to return to the path of negotiations on a permanent settlement," the statement said.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
