France condemns the decision by the Israeli authorities, confirmed by the Defense Ministry’s spokesperson on November 28 to retroactively legalize the construction of more than 100 housing units in the settlement of Shilo, in the middle of the West Bank, a long way east of the Green Line. <\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

Settlement activity is illegal under international law, threatens the two-State solution and constitutes an obstacle on the path toward a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.<\/p><\/div>\n
