In light of the closure of Gaza, this report also monitors movement and access through other crossings not included in the AMA.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:10px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>Summary:<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>AMA Crossings:<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:SymbolMT, monospace;\">&#8226; <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\"><strong>Rafah <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">crossing has been closed for the movement of people for 269 days (last open 9 June 2007). During the reporting period, 343 Gaza Palestinians who were stranded at the Egyptian border were allowed to cross into Gaza and 30 individuals including medical cases were allowed out.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:SymbolMT, monospace;\">&#8226; <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\"><strong>Karni <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">crossing has been closed since 12 June 2007 for the movement of goods into and out of Gaza. One single-lane conveyor belt\/chute for wheat grain and animal feed was open on three days (2, 7 and 9 April) compared to seven days in the previous reporting period. Ninety eight truckloads of grains and animal feed entered Gaza, compared to 480 in the previous reporting period.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:SymbolMT, monospace;\">&#8226; <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\"><strong>Erez <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">crossing remains closed since 12 June 2007 for all Palestinians, except for a limited number of Palestinian traders, aid workers and medical cases who have been granted special permits. Erez crossing was open 12 out of the 14 scheduled days. The crossing has been closed since March 2006 for Palestinian workers.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:SymbolMT, monospace;\">&#8226; <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\"><strong>Obstacles to movement in the West Bank <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">decreased to 608 compared to 612 in the previous reporting period. Overall, this represents an increase of 232 obstacles (61.7%) over the baseline figure of August 2005.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:SymbolMT, monospace;\">&#8226; <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\"><i>Convoys between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank:<\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Truck convoys <\/strong>Implementation now 27 months overdue (since mid-January 2006).\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bus convoys <\/strong>Implementation now 28 months overdue (since mid-December 2005).\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:SymbolMT, monospace;\">&#8226; <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\"><i>Ports:<\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Seaport <\/strong>Awaiting GoI assurance of non-interference with seaport operation.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Airport <\/strong>Awaiting commencement of discussions since November 2005.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>Non-AMA Crossings:<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:SymbolMT, monospace;\">&#8226; <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\"><strong>Sufa <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">crossing was open on 10 days compared to 12 days in the previous reporting period, during which 520 truckloads, including 108 from humanitarian agencies, were allowed into Gaza.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:SymbolMT, monospace;\">&#8226; <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\"><strong>Kerem Shalom <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">crossing was open on 11 days compared to 12 days in the previous reporting period. 311 truckloads (including 39 from humanitarian agencies) were allowed into Gaza, compared to 368 during the pervious reporting period.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:SymbolMT, monospace;\">&#8226; <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\"><strong>Nahal Oz <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">crossing was open on 6 out of 10 scheduled days.
