These statements, as is evidently indicated, draw attention to the gravity of the situation in the area and call on Israel to halt such violations.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong><span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>14 October 2001<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>The Âé¶¹APP calls for a halt to Israeli violations of Lebanese airspace. <\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>Radio Orient: In a statement issued yesterday, the Personal Representative of the Secretary-General, Mr. de Mistura, denounced Israel&#8217;s continued violations of Lebanese airspace and called for a halt to such actions, which can &#8220;potentially aggravate&#8221; tension in the region.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>Staffan de Mistura &#8220;noted with concern that five Israeli overflights took place across the Blue Line on 10 October&#8221;, according to a Âé¶¹APP statement. &#8220;Sonic booms also were heard over southern Lebanon&#8221;, he said, adding that &#8220;such violations of the Blue Line and Lebanese airspace can potentially aggravate an already tense situation&#8221;.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>According to the statement, Mr. Mistura &#8220;reiterates his call upon Israeli authorities to cease these violations and fully respect the Blue Line&#8221;. <\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong><span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>15 October 2001<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>A new approach on Israeli violations of the Blue Line.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span><i>An Nahar<\/i>: &#8220;In something that seemed like a new start by the Âé¶¹APP on the Israeli violations of the Blue Line, the Personal Representative of the Secretary-General, Mr. de Mistura, issued another statement, the second in two days, calling on Israel to put an end to the air violations. The statement said &#8216;the Âé¶¹APP had pointed out many times, including in reports to the Security Council, the Israeli violations of the Blue Line&#8217;. The Personal Representative of the Secretary-General noted with worry that five Israeli air violations took place on 11 October.
