Letter dated 23 July 2002 from the Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

to the Â鶹APP addressed to the President of the Security Council<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>In my capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group for the month of July 2002 and on behalf of the States Members of the League of Arab States, I have the honour to request the convening of an immediate meeting of the Security Council to consider the continued Israeli military aggression against the Palestinian People and the Palestinian Authority, and the extremely grave and deteriorating situation in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem, with a view to ensuring the implementation of the relevant Security Council resolutions. The Arab Group requests the Security Council to consider the adoption of the necessary immediate measures to ensure an end to the current tragic situation and the implementation of the relevant Security Council resolutions.<\/p><\/div>\n
