\n

 The President<\/strong> : The Security Council will now begin its consideration of the item on its agenda. The Council is meeting in accordance with the understanding reached in its prior consultations. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  Members of the Council have before them the report of the Secretary-General on the Â鶹APP Interim Force in Lebanon, document S\/2005\/460*. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  Members of the Council also have before them document S\/2005\/491*, which contains the text of a draft resolution submitted by France, Greece, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  I should also like to draw the attention of members of the Council to documents S\/2005\/58, S\/2005\/105, S\/2005\/106, S\/2005\/168, S\/2005\/242, S\/2005\/304, S\/2005\/339, S\/2005\/369, S\/2005\/424, S\/2005\/435 and S\/2005\/444, which contain letters from Lebanon; and documents S\/2005\/312, S\/2005\/352 and S\/2005\/423, which contain letters from Israel. <\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

  It is my understanding that the Council is ready to proceed to the vote of the draft resolution (S\/2005\/491*) before it. Unless I hear any objection, I shall put the draft resolution to the vote now. <\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

  There being no objection, it is so decided.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

  A vote was taken by show of hands.<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

 The President<\/strong>: <\/strong>There were 15 votes in favour. The draft resolution has been adopted unanimously as resolution 1614 (2005). <\/p><\/div>\n

  The Security Council has thus concluded the present stage of its consideration of the item on its agenda. <\/p><\/div>\n
