Israeli settlers, armed and backed by the army, are now actively participating in this aggression against the Palestinian people.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:10px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">On the evening of Friday, 5 February 1988, Israeli settlers entered Salem village (near Nablus), kidnapped a number of Palestinian youths and took them to an unknown destination. Later, inhabitants of the village saw bulldozers of the Israeli army opening graves near the village. In the early morning, the inhabitants of the village found four of the kidnapped youths buried alive in these graves. They all suffered multiple fractures and were brought to Ariha hospital. The four youths are:<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:10px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\tHassan Mohammad Said Hamdan (aged 19)\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:10px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\tAbdellatif Ahmad Eshtiya (aged 15)\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:10px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\tIssam Shafiq Eshtiya (aged 20)\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:10px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\tZakaria Mohammad Said Hamdan (aged 20)\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:10px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The other kidnapped youths are still missing.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;padding-top:10px;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;\">Moreover, by the end of last week, 20 more Palestinian women in the Gaza Strip either miscarried or gave birth to stillborn babies, after being beaten up by Israeli soldiers. These cases join the 25 first cases already mentioned in our memorandum dated 27 January 1988 (see <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/unispal.un.org\/pdfs\/EBF372F7BAC27C6B8525736F004C770B.pdf\" style=\"color:#0000ff;text-align:left;padding-top:10px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;\">E\/CN.4\/1988\/53<\/a><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;\">&nbsp;annex II):<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:10px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t1.
