Official communiqué of the 4576th (closed) meeting
\nof the Security Council<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

   Held in private at Headquarters, New York, on Wednesday,
\n17 July 2002, at 11.15 a.m.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  In accordance with rule 55 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, the following communiqué was issued through the Secretary-General in place of a verbatim record:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t  “On 17 July 2002, the Security Council, pursuant to annex II, section A of <\/span>resolution 1353 (2001)<\/a>, held its 4576th meeting in private with the troop-contributing countries to the Â鶹APP Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t  “The Security Council and the troop-contributing countries heard a briefing under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure by Ms. Louise Laheurte, Deputy Director of the Asia and Middle East Division of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t  “The members of the Council had a constructive exchange of views with representatives of participating troop-contributing countries.”\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
