\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Noting<\/u> resolution A\/RES\/357 adopted by the General Assembly on 8 December 1955 in which the Security Council was requested “to consider in the light of the general opinion in favour of the widest possible membership of the Â鶹APP the pending applications for membership of all those eighteen countries about which no problem of unification arises”,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Having<\/u> considered separately the applications for membership of Albania, the Mongolian People’s Republic, Jordan, Ireland, Portugal, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Roumania, Bulgaria, Finland, Ceylon, Nepal, Libya, Cambodia, Japan, Laos and Spain,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Recommend<\/u>s to the General Assembly the admission of the above-named countries.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

The Security Council on 13 December 1955 voted on the draft resolution as follows:<\/p><\/div>\n

In favour:<\/strong> Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Iran, New Zealand, Peru, Turkey, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United States of America.<\/p><\/div>\n
